Tim-Jan Thio

 

 

Hello! My name is Tim-Jan Thio. I was born on the 27th of September 1994 in Amsterdam to my lovely parents, Bernard Thio and Marieke van Schoot. I have two brothers and two sisters. My family currently resides in Enschede the Netherlands.
My greatest passion is baseball. I enjoy doing all kinds of sports. I have been playing baseball since I was six years old and still do. I love it because the team can only win if everyone works together, and performs optimally. I have played baseball for Tex Town Tigers in Enschede from 2001 until 2013. In 2014 I transferred to Sparks Haarlem. Being in a new baseball environment was refreshing and made me a better baseball player.Other hobbies of mine include cooking, Nordic Walking and knitting. I currently reside in Amsterdam, but I have spent parts of my childhood in England and Australia. This time abroad has given me the chance to get to know a lot of people, from which I have learnt a great deal from. I am currently studying at ISMB (international sports management and business) in Amsterdam. I am really enjoying me time so far. One of my future goals is to start my own baseball bat brand. This has been a dream of mine since I was a youngster. I hope that I have gained great experiences and knowledge when I have completed the ISMB program. One of the reasons to enrol in this course is to explore the world and learn about other cultures.
