Our Challenges
We faced three challenges.
First of all, time. When we first started working in a group we could not imagine how much time and energy group work consumes. In addition, as there is six of us, it is sometimes hard to coordinate our schedules in order to arrange group meetings on the time that would suit everybody.
Second one was personal differences. The fact that we all come from different cultural backgrounds makes it even more complicated. We do not think or act the same way, or same at the same pace either.. This is why we need to take peculiarities of each team member into consideration.
And the last one was communication. In order to finish a group assignment, all the group members have to communicate. Everyone has their own opinion which has to be respected and valued. It is also important for all members to listen for important ideas and avoid conflicts. When everyone is attentive, it is easier to respond to ideas by adding relevant concepts that can make the team work smoother. Problems are solved easier when team members keep being open minded and listen to others' opinions.
